Initial Site Visit
After contacting us we will set up a meeting to visit your house and landscape. We will listen to your needs and examine your site. We will discuss our design practices and philosophy and together we will engage in some creative ideas and possible solutions to your site and needs. At this meeting we can usually give you an initial design quote for the project.
Site Survey
Before we can begin to design we need to do a site survey. This includes a careful drawing of your house and property boundaries and indications of grade and other physical features.
Preliminary Plan
We will draw up a preliminary plan based on the physical features of your site, your needs and concerns and correct deficits or unsightly issues of your property. We will meet again and discuss the preliminary plan and proposed plants. A preliminary estimate for the proposed project can be projected at this meeting including soil and site preparation and implementation and projected estimates for labor costs.
Master Plan
Based on the preliminary plan a master plan will be finalized. We provide two copies of the plan, one for working and one to be archived. We provide a written report of all plants to be used, with cultivation requirements and picture library for identification. These materials plus supplementary cultivation and gardening practices are also provided in a cd format. We developed our own plants database with data reflected on our own experience of the growing conditions and a photo library.
Project Implementation
We can provide soil preparation and planting or provide some assistance to those clients who wish to implement their own projects.
